“No Catch” for Pepsi and New Vision

We just entered the Wroclaw Poland Pepsi Short Film Competition 2011 with our one-minute clip, “No Catch.” Can’t show the actual piece to the public yet as the competition is still in progress. Look out for the publication announcements once the judging has closed!

Pepsi’s “Refresh Yourself” competition is the perfect platform to pitch our new style, outlook, and vision. Fizzion Films is and always will be a place for high quality entertainment. However, one could say that the filmmaking collective found on this site has “grown up” a bit. We are more focused on the actual art of cinematic expression. We’ve got some new super-brilliant colleagues on the team and we’ve taken a step back for the past few months to review our work, re-group, and re-create it all.

Film and commercial competitions will always provide an unprecedented opportunity to network, publicize, and fundraise. However, we plan to maintain a strong focus on powerful story-telling through the mediums of film, video, and new media.

Super Short Film for Reel Teens Film Festival Now Released

As a part of the annual “Reel Teens” Film Festival held in Hunter, New York; director Joe Rodriguez and producer Jessica Rodriguez recently put together a super-short narrative titled “The Rhythm.” A college-bound teen, played by Joe Rodriguez himself, watches as his dreams of becoming a world-class drummer flash before him. Filmed in under six days–on no budget–the film conveys ideas and developments within the plot in a rather abstract, primarily dialogue-free manner. Going Viral: Music Video Featured on NBCMiami

All of us at Fizzion Films are truly shocked and honored with such publicity. I can’t thank NBC Miami and Janie enough for providing such needed exposure!

A quick note that will make you appreciate the word of mouth: My sister, Jennifer Fuller, originally contacted NBC Miami via Facebook and later received an unexpected email from the channel’s senior editor. Thanks Jen!

Fizzion Films wins Sony MyDotMoment Competition!

Attention All!

I am very happy to announce that our entry, “The Escape,”  to Sony’s global competition, “MyDotMoment,” has been named one of five grand prize winners. Out of seventy total entries across the planet; our spot was the only commercial produced within the US to be chosen. It is a great honor to know that our work was esteemed broadcast-worthy by such a notable corporation. Many thanks to all involved in the production!
